The Algoa Bay club was established in 1984 and is affiliated to  the German Shepherd Dog Federation of   South Africa. 

The objectives are:

• Provide facilities for training of German Shepherd Dogs.

• Hold Breed Shows, Breed Surveys and Training events.

• Provide information on breeding, rearing and training of German Shepherd Dogs.

• Encourage the exchange of mutual experience amongst members, fostering friendly relations    between members and building a good club spirit.

• Assist members with the purchase of puppies.

• Promote the German Shepherd Dog.

  Club facilities:

• Club house and entertainment facilities.

• Ladies and mans toilet facilities.

• Equipment storage facilities

• Three training fields
